Skilled CNC Machinist


Our Global Automotive Client, who are a specialist in advanced turbocharger technology and leading global supplier of innovative turbo charging and air management systems for passenger cars, light trucks and commercial vehicles, currently with an order book until 2030, for customers such as Ford, Daimler, DAF, JCB, Scania - we are currently recruiting for skilled machinists across a rotating 3 shift pattern (Days, Mids & Nights with no Friday working on the Night Shift)


Successful candidates will be responsible for the setting and operating of a variety of different production processes (automated and/or manual) within the immediate Line/Cell and other machining units as and when appropriate (turning & grinding processes).


The Position Involves:

  • Setting of production equipment for both yourself and others that is both accurate and timely.
  • Operating production equipment to obtain the optimum efficiencies during production.
  • Complete inspection/specification documentation.
  • Adhere to cleanliness and functionality of the Line/Cell, in line with 5s and T.P.M. guidelines.
  • Identify, communicate and implement opportunities to improve Quality, Delivery and Safety targets.
  • Participate in multi-functional teams to achieve desired results.
  • Liaise with supervisors related to production planning.
  • Provide additional technical support, to minimise potential disruption to production equipment following scheduled and/or unscheduled company shutdown periods.



£23,484 per annum with an additional 27% shift allowance which equates to £29,824.68


Annual leave for this role is 33 shifts per year. (25 Statutory and 8 Bank Holidays)

Monday to Friday - rotating shifts (Days, Mids, Nights) 36.16 hours per week on average.

Due to AEO requirements – you will need to demonstrate and evidence your previous five years' work, vocational training, travel and/or periods of unemployment. You will need to provide credible references from your current/previous employers before interview stage. There must be no gap in your evidence greater than 28 days. These gaps may be evidenced using a combination of work and character references within this position.
