Job Description

As an Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Technician, not only will you provide technical support to the operational team, (solving electrical, control and instrumentation related issues); you will also, be an active lead in supporting Health and Safety policies such as near misses and incident investigations.

Your role will include utilising your experience working in and testing high voltage systems as well as the implementation and testing of SCADA systems, software modules and systems, scheduled power outage plans which will include, producing switching and isolating procedures.

As well as being key in adhering to environmental policies and procedures, you will also be implicit in assisting the maintenance PPM schedule / KPI’s, completing all maintenance reporting accurately into the internal system.

This is an opportunity to join a state-of-the-art facility and have the chance to not only lead all E C & I requirements but also, actively implement continuous improvements / process design, using your broad knowledge of Control and Instrument equipment and its functional application.

This is the position to really show your attention to detail in terms of planning and delivery, testing and process design, all the time being fully focused on Health and Safety.

We know you will be fully conversant in Electrical Installation systems, including: power, control, cable specification, sizing, including data cables, instrument cables, along with associated cable segregation and screening requirements as well as Control panels design, including PLC systems, and associated power distribution.


  • Certificate in Safety Instrumented Systems
  • Recognised EC&I Apprenticeship Scheme
  • ONC/HNC in Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering or equivalent
