Senior Sales Estimator – Structural Steel

Cubed Resourcing are working with one of the largest steel contractors in the UK, looking for a Senior Sales Estimator. Here, you will be focused on Structural Steel build projects, operating within the education, oil / gas and rail industries.

Ideally, you will be fully experienced in working with structural steel. This can include being from a surveying or manufacturing background, working with products such as mezzanine floors, commercial building / fit out, bespoke metal fabrication and steelwork. You will hold a relevant degree / HNC within an engineering discipline.

You will have a flair for sales, understanding a professional and concise sales process and also, the analytical / technical approach to all elements of estimating, costing and quoting, to ensure customer satisfaction throughout.

The role is base in West Yorkshire. However, it will include client site visits across the UK when required.


  • Responding to sales enquiries by producing accurate cost estimates of materials and labour required to produce and submit project bid proposals
  • Timely preparation, completion and issuing of quotations to customers
  • To liaise with technical departments to ensure full provision of designs/ B.O.M's (bill of materials), allowing the prompt submission of quotations to clients’ deadlines
  • Provide total costing support to projects team on successful bids
  • Technical knowledge to provide the correct solutions and all costings involved within the production, installation and completion of works
  • Working on projects up to £6-million
  • A sound understanding of Sales procedures
  • Business acumen to identify opportunities for further provision / sales development
