Calling all Semi-Skilled Assembly Operators!

Our client is one the UK`s leading independent engineering and services businesses and specialists in Modular and Offsite manufacturing. Situated just off the M606 motorway Bradford, BD12, they are within easy access from south Bradford, south Leeds, Birstall, Halifax, and north Huddersfield areas.

They are now on the lookout for Semi-Skilled Assembly Operatives to join them on a long term, ongoing temporary basis with the potential of a permanent contract.

What’s in it for you?

  • Hourly Rate: £12.00 to £13.19 per hour, depending on experience/skills - with a gateway/entry rate for those workers who may need additional training/time to get up to full speed and competency.
  • Overtime: paid at Tx1.5 on hours worked over basic 37.5 hours, Monday through Saturday and at Tx2 on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
  • Work/Life Balance: working hours: Monday to Wednesday 07:00 – 17:00, Thursday 07:00 – 16:30 (plus plenty of overtime available on Fridays to earn those extra £’s when you’ve holidays / birthdays / events etc. coming up). There is a possibility of the shifts changing to shorter days, spread over 5 days, though this is not definitive at the moment.

    About the role:

  • Reading and understanding technical drawings.
  • Using hand and power tools or machines to assemble parts.
  • Produce components by assembling parts and subassemblies.
  • Assembling components and ensuring that all parts are fitted correctly.
  • Keeping the workspace clean, adhering to the companies 'Don't walk by' ethos.
  • Identifying and reporting assembly line issues, passing to relevant PPM team.
  • Adhering to and promoting the companies impeccable Health and Safety record and standards, ensuring that the “Safety first and foremost” message is visible and alive throughout all activities undertaken.
  • Living and breathing the ‘World Class Manufacturing - Safer, Better, Faster, Greener’ strategy of the company.

About you:

We're looking for someone with a natural knack for mechanics or electronics, someone who's at ease with hand tools, whether honed through professional work or personal DIY projects. Thinking of ‘we’ not ‘me’ and being a team player is key, as is a genuine dedication to upholding Health and Safety standards, ensuring not just your safety, but that of your colleagues. A solid work ethic is a must, and the ability to take initiative and drive things forward independently is highly valued.
