Job Description

Due to an exciting period of growth, our client is looking to employ a number of Permanent Production / Assembly Operatives to join their friendly team, working in their World Class manufacturing facility based on the outskirts of York (YO41).

Due to location and shifts having your own transport is essential. If you live very local there is a limited bus service but please check this before applying.

Whilst the role is based in a lab environment you are not carrying out scientific processes – this role is focused on manual assembly, machine operation, attention to detail and quality control. If you have previous experience working in a factory environment or production line, working with small products or components – this role will be suitable for you. If you have a qualification or interest in science or a laboratory based role, this opportunity would also be suitable for you.



  • A few days of training working 8am - 4pm, Mon to Fri
  • After training: rotating early and late shift pattern 5:30am - 2pm/2pm - 10:30pm, Monday to Thursday, 6am - 11:30am/11:30am - 5pm Fridays


  • £20,717 per annum (inclusive of 12% shift allowance
  • Equivalent to £10.62 per hour (£9.48 per hour plus 12% shift allowance) 
  • Overtime is paid – weekdays and Saturday paid at time and one half; Sunday paid at double time


  • 33 days holiday per annum (20 statutory days, 8 stat bank holidays, plus 5 extra days)
