Cubed Talent are excited to be supporting our Client to recruit for a Resource and Programme Planner to join their growing business, based in Huthwaite.

They are a leading supplier of engineering solutions, specialising in the bespoke design and construction of metal fabrications and the turnkey supply of physical water, energy, and environmental management installations. As a full electro-mechanical service provider, they can help to support almost any project.


With this wide range of expertise, they work within UK water utilities, power companies, government agencies, and drainage boards – with many appointing them as their preferred framework contractor. Additionally, they have worked with building companies, architects, machine builders, and other fabrications companies to achieve optimal solutions for a wide range of projects.


They have recently appointed a new MD who has a strategic growth plan and will be diversifying into new arenas including Modular and Nuclear. As a result of this growth plan, they are looking for a Planner to join their business.


As the Resource and Programme Planner, you will be reporting directly to the Senior Contracts Manager and be responsible for:

  • Planning, monitoring, and reporting on budgets
  • Material procurement, design, project management, and production activities,
  • Project delivery 
  • Workforce resource and planning to meet the project delivery dates
  • Issue early warnings to the team on changes that could affect the project delivery 
  • Develop the production schedule, detailing all tasks, when they should be completed by, to meet the predicted completion date
  • Liaise with internal department managers to ensure all workers, materials, plant, and machinery will be available when required
  • Troubleshoot problems that occur during production or projects including staff shortages and plant/machinery malfunctions
  • Collect and assesses data regarding the production and project team performance.
  • And any other tasks that the business requires to effectively manage and plan its production and projects


The Candidate 

  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate a solid history of planning across operations, manufacture, and installation, this role would ideally suit someone from the Construction/Steel fabrication / Offsite manufacturing / Civils or M&E industry. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Projects 
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain and Distribution Management, 
  • Knowledge of production processes and project management. 
  • Ability to prioritise and drive projects ensuring they are delivered on time
