We are looking for a Senior WTG Reliability Engineer for our Business Area Wind, Offshore, Engineering. If you are interested in a job with a lot of potential and possibilities and want to be a part of an organization with special focus on Renewables, you may be the person we are looking for.

 

The Engineering department is the technical know-how centre within Business Area Wind, setting the standards and guidelines as well as being embedded within our projects, both through the development and implementation phase as well as in operations.

 

You will be a part of the WTG System Engineering team within the Engineering department, working with colleagues located across the various European locations.

 

Your main responsibilities will be to bring expertise into the business in terms of WTG reliability at main component level. The business includes design, execution, QA and operation of wind farms.

Description of the position as Senior WTG Reliability Engineer

 

To provide technical and project-based expertise into the business in range of evaluating reliability level of wind turbines, and wind farm systems including;

 

• Participate in technical due diligences and evaluate various designs of future WTG’s during contract phase of projects.

• Contribute to estimate failure rate estimates for business case.

• Review of design documentation from suppliers and contractors

• Develop and implement ideas and concepts to improve reliability analysis.

• Participate in validation & verification efforts to assess WTG integrity and/or to assess new technology introduction.

• Mentor fellow colleagues in reliability analysis work.

• Ad hoc support to the O&M organization with technical expertise in the entire lifetime of the windfarms.

 

 

Qualifications as Senior WTG Reliability Engineer

 

• M.Sc Eng. Mechanical/Electrical or in Mathematics with focus on reliability analysis.

• A minimum of 10 years of industry experience – preferable Offshore wind.

• An extensive knowledge and experience in post-processing of field failures data to analyse component failure modes and predict future failure rates using a Weibull approach with support of Reliasoft such as Weibull++, BlockSim and others.

• An extensive knowledge and experience in failure rate modelling, including infant mortality and wear out related failures, as well as in failure rate sensitivity analysis to support the internal evaluation of WTG’s.

• Theoretical and practical foundation in combination with high safety awareness

• Experience with trouble-shooting within WTG’s and windfarms

• Good English language skills both oral and written and a plus if you also have good Danish/German language skills.

• Flexible approach to travel activity

BA Wind is responsible for the development, construction, and operation of wind power. We manage the maintenance, operation, and continuous improvement of wind generation assets, safely and with the highest levels of availability and profitability.

 

We carry out the sourcing and development of wind projects as well as having the full responsibility for wind project execution. We also perform the structuring and execution of project partnerships in accordance with overall wind strategy.

 

Qualifications
