Cubed Resourcing have an exciting opportunities for a Manufacturing Team Leader to join a prestigious manufacturer who produce a range of high-end luxury products located in Beeston, LeedsThey are a family owned business with a long tradition and they are looking for candidates who will become a part of their culture

As a Manufacturing Team Leader, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Implementing 5S and Lean Manufacturing methodologies
  • Ensure housekeeping and 5S is kept the correct standard throughout the shifts.
  • Control and deploy the process workforce to meet their daily targets including hourly checks and operator performance in their designated areas of responsibility. Including incorporating any changes to daily targets.
  • Ensure downtime in these areas are kept to a minimum and escalation procedures followed. Working with the team to resolved operational problems.
  • Supervising and leading the spring’s production team incl. managing employee holidays, working hours and absence management.
  • Motivate, coach, train and praise the operators in relation to their performance.
  • Monitor quality of products ensuring all quality procedures are adhered to in line with the ISO16001 including feedback to the workforce.
  • Ensure all health and safety documents are signed and procedures are followed and assess risks.
  • Working as a team with the PM and night shift team leaders to ensure a smooth production workflow between shifts.
  • Interdepartmental liaison including Production planning, Customer service and the mattress line team leaders, to ensure a smooth production workflow between shifts.
  • Undertake ad hoc projects as requested by Springs Production Manager
Successful candidates will have the following attributes:
  • Substantial knowledge and experience of 5S methodology.  
  • LM Certification (or equivalent) or willing to undertake during next 12 months
  • Good understanding of OEE and how this works.
  • Good understanding of Lean manufacturing and how this works.
  • Strong people management skills to train, coach, and develop your team.
  • Experience of ‘Fish bone’, ‘5 whys’ and ‘Is isn’t’ would be highly advantageous.
  • Good Excel and IT Skills.
  • Problem-solving skills (A3 Thinking).
  • Continuous improvements projects achieved.
  • PDRs completed to a good level.
  • Wire / Spring involvement is desirable, however not essential.
 

Hours of Work: Panama Shift Pattern

Annual Salary: £38,547.60 per annum (inclusive of shift allowance)

Contract: Permanent
