Job Description

Cubed Talent are working with our engineering client, based in Keighley, recruiting for a Tool Maker to join them permanently. Our client is a global leader providing engineering solutions to a variety of industries both in the UK and overseas. Heavily investing in plant and people our client has a strategic growth plan in place for the next 10 years and are looking to double in size, offering excellent progression and job security. The main purpose of the role will be to manufacture small to medium press tools 

The Role 

  • Manufacture & assemble small to medium Press Tools to design and specification 
  • Working from single-stage Blank, Forming, Piercing tools to full Progression tooling 
  • Manufacture new press tool components to technical drawings 
  • Develop and introduce new ideas on and work with designers to improve the time of “Tool Manufacturing Lead Times and Tool Servicing Times”.
  • Focus on improving machining time methods of tooling parts to help speed up the process of tool manufacturing.
  • Manufacture tooling spares to minimize tool downtime during servicing.
  • Report any tool design changes direct to the tool designers to ensure tool drawings are kept up to date for future reference. 
  • Participate in Tool Design Reviews, and actively seek to improve the tool design and performance from single-stage tooling to progression tools.
  • Assist the Tool Designers in the design of new and replacement tooling to improve tool efficiency.

The Candidate 

  • Apprentice trained Tool Maker 
  • Experience manufacturing metal forming Press Tools
  • Ability to contribute towards the development of new and existing Press Tools 
  • Ability to work as part of the team 

Salary & Benefits 

  • £35,000 per annum DOE 
  • Permanent 
  • Days Mon - Thu 7:30am - 4:30pm & Fri 7:30am - 12:00pm
