Job Description

My client is a recognised and respected leader in the manufacture of a wide range glass products and solutions including architectural, curtain walling, partitioning, atria and others for the corporate, civil, retail and leisure industries.

They are looking for a Production Manager to joining their Senior Leadership team. This appointment is a key appointment for the business reporting directly to the MD.

The Role:

This role will focus on all aspects of production and ensuring we manufacture and deliver to schedules of 100% on-time delivery in the most cost-effective manner. This will involve maintaining the highest quality standards, whilst delivering finished product on time, in a safe and efficient working environment.

You will be responsible for a team of up to 50 both direct and indirect employees

  • Mentoring, coaching, and developing the team
  • Continuously improve established procedures, practices, methodologies,
  • Enhance production methods and production schedules, enhance and maintaining standardised work documentation.
  • Ensure production is in-line with pre-set schedules with the aim of 100% on time deliveries to our customers.
  • Measure the efficiency of all manufacturing operations, identify inadequate processes, and specify technical manufacturing requirements to make improvements.

You will be

For this role you will have worked as a Production Manager with a fast-paced manufacturing environment (it would be advantageous if you have experience in the glass industry but not essential)

Excellent leadership and communication skills – someone who can win the hearts and minds of the team and positively manage change.

Exceptional project management skills and experience, with an excellent understanding of modern project management methodologies and practices

Ability to multi-task and problem solve with the capability to work under pressure, with proven ‘hands on’ factory floor experience.

Experience working within an ISO9001& 14001 quality & Environmental framework with a good understanding of process control and quality in production.

Up to £50k depending on skills and experience per annum
