Job Description

Cubed Talent is working with a market leader in the design, development, and manufacture of high-speed machinery, with an $8.5 bn turnover, a reputation for excellence and operations in 41 countries – to recruit for an Expeditor to join their team based in Shipley on a permanent basis.

In the role you will undertake a variety of administrative tasks within a busy Logistics environment office. These include:

  • Expediting orders in accordance with purchase order requirements, challenging suppliers via, phone, email to get the best delivery dates possible in line with business needs.
  • Assisting the purchasing department and Goods-in with supplier queries, highlighting potential concerns /risks to the company.
  • Processing order acknowledgements, updating cost and delivery status into the relevant business systems.
  • Assisting the Purchasing and Logistics team with general administration tasks.
  • Meet deadlines for weekly meetings.

About you:

  • Knowledge of Managing order exceptions, supplier or internal queries.
  • Able to work as part of a team and on their own confidently in a highly pressurised environment.
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Familiar with PC Office software.
  • Friendly, approachable attitude with good phone manners.
  • Progress chasing experience.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Flexibility as needs of the business grow.

This job requires a driven person who can prioritise their workload and meet the needs of the business. This role will also mean attending weekly meetings with internal stake holders regarding orders to be expedited with suppliers on a weekly basis.
