Cubed Talent is recruiting on behalf of one of the UK’s leading providers of Modular Buildings. Our client specialises in the design, build, refurbishment, and installation of portable building solutions for organisations of any size in sectors ranging from manufacturing, education and health to transport, utilities and construction across the UK.

We’re looking for a customer focused Area Sales Manager to join the team at Smethwick, Birmingham Hire & Service Centre.

Tenacious and target driven to deliver results, you will promote the company’s hire business to prospective customers through structured business development activity while maintaining relationships with existing customers to ensure order targets are met.

You will work alongside a Hire Co-Ordinator to drive new business within the catchment area updating internal systems (e.g. SAP, CRM) to ensure customer information is kept up to date, all activity is logged and invoices are paid on time.

Role responsibilities

  • Accountable for the delivery set targets for the year for a particular catchment area including contract value, order numbers, and, visits as well as other commercial KPI’s.
  • Carry out structured business development, local and national campaigns, including business development calls within the area designated, in order to achieve order targets.
  • Prepare quotations and drawings against customer requirements.
  • Complete customer care programme to ensure maximum satisfaction, continuity of business and maximise referral opportunities.
Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience in developing and carrying out structured business development plans across a range of business sectors through a consultative sales approach.
  • B2B sales experience in a customer facing role including presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Technical sales experience in a construction related industry is desirable although not essential.
  • Full U.K driving licence.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday; 36.25 hour per week - Our client offers flexibly working principles; you can start between 7-10am and end between 2.30-6.30pm - the core hours that must be worked are between 10am to 2.30pm.

Salary: £31,000 - £34,000 per annum, plus attractive commission scheme
