Cubed Resourcing are excited to be supporting our Client to recruit for a Yard Operative to join their growing business, based in Huthwaite.

Our Client is a leading supplier of engineering solutions, specialising in the bespoke design and construction of metal fabrications and the turnkey supply of physical water, energy, and environmental management installations. As a full electro-mechanical service provider, they can help to support almost any project.

With this wide range of expertise, they work within UK water utilities, power companies, government agencies, and drainage boards – with many appointing them as their preferred framework contractor. Additionally, they have worked with building companies, architects, machine builders, and other fabrications companies to achieve optimal solutions for a wide range of projects.

As a Yard Operative, you will report to the Production Supervisor.

Job Description:               

Organisation and Quality

• Accepting delivery of and unloading / checking of steel ensuring all paperwork is processed in accordance with company Procedures.
• Loading of lorries / trailers in accordance with company procedures.
• Assist the Storesperson when required to take delivery into stores.
• Organise safe storage of steelwork to enable prompt and easy retrieval when required.
• To assist with any painting / fettling as required.
• Deliveries/collections throughout the UK as required.
• To provide assistance within the workshop operating any machinery that you are trained to use.
• General labouring duties as required.
• Flexibility to work on other sites as required.

Competence Profile:

• Full clean driving licence
• Counterbalance Forklift Truck License
• Previous use of overhead cranes
• Knowledge of the steel industry is preferred

• £20,748pa (£10.50ph 38 hour week)
