Our client is a supplier of engineering solutions that specialise in the bespoke design and construction of metal fabrications. They also specialise in the turnkey supply of physical water, energy, and environmental management installations.
Their MD has a Strategic Growth Plan, and the company will be diversifying into new arenas such as Modular and Nuclear. With significant investment into the business, this is an exciting time to join them.
They are now looking for a Welder to join them, carrying out welding operations during the fabrication of steel sections.
Salary details & package
- Up to £13.74 per hour

The Role
- MIG Welding Frames, Trusses, Bridges, Nuclear de-commissioning boxes plus more.
- Complying with engineering drawings and general welding guidance notes.
- Work collaboratively with the team.
- Ensure all relevant engineering drawings are complied with and fabricated to the standards expected.
- Where full strength welds are completed, you should initial, date and time the item for NDT review.
- Compliance with ECS Yellow Route cards is required.
- Ensure all welding equipment is calibrated, in test and in good operating order.
- Ensure all tasks are prepared for audit action if necessary.
- Contribute to all quality audits and assist in resolution of issues with product, processes and systems when required.
The Candidate
- Experience of heavy welding / structural steel
- Knowledge and understanding of Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
- Experience working with pre-heats and to strict specifications.
- Able to work autonomously.
