Conveniently Situated Between Bradford & Leeds - within easy access from south Bradford, south Leeds, Birstall, Halifax and north Huddersfield. Enjoy Long Weekends! Working hours are Monday to Thursday: 7am - 5pm (Mon-Wed), 7am - 4:30pm (Thurs). Overtime is also available on Fridays and Saturdays and is paid and time and a half.
Salary + Benefits
- £15.50 per hour
- Overtime is paid at Tx1.5 on hours worked over basic 37.5 hours Monday through Saturday and at Tx2 on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

Join our dynamic team and be part of a thriving structural fabrication shop engaged in crafting unique projects, you will be working within a well-lit, well-maintained weld shop with excellent equipment; Jassic 500 P's and 3m Speedglas Air Fed Masks. Boasting excellent catering facilitates and are currently in the process of building a breakout space with Table Tennis and darts board, the company are looking to make the business a top place to work. Your role as a MIG Welder Fabricator will encompass a diverse range of responsibilities, such as:
- Showcasing your expertise through MIG welding of mild steels (3-30mm range) with MAG welding techniques.
- Creating flawless finishes on carbon (mild) steels, catering to various thicknesses from 3mm up to 30mm (and potentially thicker on special projects).
- Ability to Fillet Weld + Butt Weld
- Delivering precision fabrications that meet stringent quality specifications for industrial and structural components.
- Executing projects based on welding drawings with a high level of autonomy.
- Embracing a workshop-based role that eliminates the need for on-site work.
- Occasionally operating steel cutters, grinders, and shotblasters, all while receiving comprehensive training.
- Fulfilling standard fab shop responsibilities as part of your rewarding 7am to 5.00pm workday.
To excel in this role, you should bring the following attributes:
- Proficiency in multiple welding practices including TIG, MIG, and MAG.
- Competence in utilising plasma and Oxy Acy cutting equipment.
- Skilled in fabricating steel components in adherence to precise drawings and tolerances.
- Ability to set up and operate welding equipment safely.
- Familiarity with welding defects and their possible causes.
