We are working with one of the UK's leading manufacturing businesses based in Leeds LS28, West Yorkshire. Our client has been in business for over 100 years and prides itself on delivering a turnkey service to its customers in the UK and overseas.

They are looking to recruit a Welder Fabricator to complement their existing team to transform raw materials into finished products.

Job Role:

 As a Welder/Fabricator, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process to produce top-quality metal components and structures. The main duties will include: 
 
  • Safety: Follow and promote all safety protocols, wearing appropriate PPE and adhering to best practices to create a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to accurately fabricate and assemble metal components.
  • Welding: Proficiently execute various welding techniques, including MIG and Arc welding, to create strong, durable, and visually appealing welds.
  • Metal Fabrication: Cut, shape, and prepare metal components using an array of tools and machinery, ensuring that they meet engineering specifications and quality standards.
  • Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of welds and fabricated parts to identify and rectify defects, and maintain the highest level of quality in all work.

 

Efficiency: Work efficiently and meet project deadlines without compromising on quality and accuracy.

  • Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure seamless workflow and project success.
 

What you will bring to the role:

  • A recognised qualification within engineering/manufacturing or equivalent 
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings 
  • Proven experience as a Welder Fabricator 
  • Ability to use an array of machinery including Pressbreak, Guillotines, Rollers, Punch press, Radial arm drills, 
  • Proficiency in various welding methods, such as MIG and Arc
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on producing high-quality work.
  • Commitment to safety and the ability to follow safety guidelines.
