Job Purpose:
As a Management Accountant at ECS Engineering, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial and statutory requirements of our organization are met. You will work within the finance department and contribute to various financial activities that are vital to our success.
Your primary areas of responsibility will encompass three Small Subsidiaries within our organization: BC Civils, Lindhurst Engineering, and a third subsidiary for which details will be provided at a later stage. In addition, you will offer valuable support to the broader group.

- Monday – Friday, 8am - 4:30pm & Friday 8am-3:30pm. (Role is primarily office based, with current home working on Fridays).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct VAT reconciliations and submit VAT returns.
- Manage PAYE/NI and CIS reconciliations and submissions.
- Handle pension contribution submissions.
- Assist with datafile job management, including sales order processing.
- Perform month-end ledger closing routines.
- Conduct nominal analysis for accounts preparation and journal entries (accruals and pre-payments).
- Assist in preparing timely monthly management accounts in the board pack and other reporting requirements.
- Process payroll efficiently.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
- Manage fixed assets and depreciation postings.
Responsibilities for the wider Group:
- Consolidate group cashflow and assist with cashflow forecasting.
- Contribute to budget and rolling forecast preparations.
- Handle Office of National Statistics requirements.
- Maintain supplier and customer information.
- Assist with month-end reporting.
- Provide support for compliance auditing.
- Collaborate in the year-end audit process.
About You:
- Qualified by Experience with at least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar organization.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Experience working within the manufacturing industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to build strong and collaborative working relationships at all levels.
- Capable of processing information accurately, quickly, and logically.
- Enthusiastic about introducing new ideas and driving improvements within the scope of the role.
