Experienced MIG Welder?

Are you an experienced Welder proficient in MIG welding techniques? If so, our client wants to hear from you!
We are partnering with one of the UK’s leading and most reputable engineering and services businesses, who specialise in modular and offsite manufacturing.
 Due to continuous growth, our client is expanding their welding department and is looking for skilled Welders to join their team in Bradford. This location is easily commutable from Leeds, Halifax, Huddersfield, and Brighouse, thanks to excellent transport links.  Their newly renovated workshop is clean, spacious, fully heated and follows their safety-first culture throughout. High quality masks and respiratory equipment and PPE all supplied. Weld qualification (Codings) paid for by the company and undertaken within first 2-4weeks of starting.
All Welder Fabricators considered are required to carry out a MAG, Fillet and Butt Weld TEST on site before an offer is made

Key Responsibilities:
  • Weld products to specification, ensuring a high-quality weld and finish
  • Using plasma & Oxy Acy cutting equipment 
  • Work from drawings
  • Perform MIG welding on mild steel, including welding box sections, fillet welds, and butt welds
  • Creating flawless finishes on carbon (mild) steels, catering to various thicknesses from 3mm up to 30mm (and potentially thicker on special projects).
  • Dress off and quality check welded products
  • Operate overhead head cranes safely and efficiently
  •  Understanding & competent of multiple welding practices inc. MMA, MIG / MAG
What We’re Looking For:
  • Proven ability to work from drawings and instructions
  • Previous MIG welding experience
  • Skilled in laying down fillet and butt welds
  • Experience in dressing welded products
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Welding qualification or previous coding experience is a distinct advantage
  • you must feel competent to weld to a coded standard as your brackets, beams or other parts will be put through testing! 
  • Safe setup & use of welding plant and equipment 
  • Understanding of welding defects and possible causes
