Cubed Resourcing are recruiting for Manufacturing Process Operatives for our client; a leading global manufacturer based on the outskirts of York. Commutable with transport from York, Pocklington, Goole, Beverley, Selby, Market Weighton

Our client has a vacancy for Production Process Operators to join their operations team in the factory to manufacture products for global markets.

Pay Days £8.60 - £9.15 per hour

Pay Shifts £9.10 - £9.65 per hour

Hours – 6am till 2pm or 1.45pm till 11.45pm

Flexibility is required during peak periods to work 12 hour shifts 6am – 6pm and 6pm – 6am on a three week rotation.

Standard day shifts of 8am – 4:30pm are also available on some instances.

Reporting to the Shift Manager, the main responsibilities of the role will be:

The operation of production plant and equipment, including;

  • Semi-automatic bottle filling lines.
  • Powder tipping stations.
  • Bulk (drum & IBC) filling stations.
  • Liquid mixing vessels.
  • Bag and sack filling machinery.
  • Also may be required to operate mechanical handling equipment (MHE) – subject to qualification/training – namely counterbalance fork lift truck and pedestrian pallet trucks (both powered and manual).
  • Line set up – including collection of packaging materials (empty bottles, boxes, labels, etc).
  • Checking of sample weights and recording of production and quality data.
  • Recording of productivity and downtime data for overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) performance monitoring.

Successful candidates will ideally have the following attributes:

• 2 years’ experience within a manufacturing environment, ideally within processing.
• Good level of safety awareness.
• Counterbalance fork lift truck licence is desirable but not essential
• Able to work rotating shift patterns as and when required.
• Good team working ability and flexible approach to job rotation.
