Cubed Resourcing are proud to be working with a well-established Leeds based food manufacturing company.  They are looking for a Maintenance Engineer with an Electrical bias (70/30) to join their existing team and contribute to the companies ambitious and strategic growth plan.

Founded in 1900 the company began manufacturing bespoke food , but today means they can serve those living a vegan, vegetarian or gluten free lifestyle – or looking for tasty foods which are low in fat, sugar and salt, or free-from dairy, lactose and nuts.

With a well-established UK client base supplying into well-known FMCG retailers such as Waitrose, Sainsburys, ASDA, Tesco and Morrisons.  The company is expanding into the US markets across its product range and is heavily investing into automation to secure and future proof this history rich company.

The role of Maintenance Engineer

The ideal candidate will have worked within a similar food production environment and will have experience in the maintenance of industrial baking machinery, hoppers, metal detectors and bagging/packaging machinery. You will also be responsible for making sure all machinery complies with the necessary health and safety regulations.

There is a mixture of automated (PLC controlled) and manual machinery, so experience in working with both will be a distinct advantage.

Reporting to and working along side current Maintenance Engineer, duties will include:

  • Working within a fast paced food manufacturing environment
  • Mechanical repair of all plant and machinery
  • New machine set up, calibration and testing
  • Project work
  • PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance)
  • Following the companies food hygiene best practice at all times

Person Specifications:

  • Ideally you will have an Engineering qualification but not essential
  • Experience working in a fast paced Manufacturing environment desirable
  • Excellent fault finding & problem solving ability
  • Good Communicator
  • Able to work individually and part of a team

Pay Rate:

Up to £35k depending on experience.

Hours of work:

40 hours per week basic.
Current hours are 07:00-16:30 Monday to Thursday and 07:00-11:00 on Friday, however, hours can be flexible to suit the role and business needs.
